April Service Hours:12 Total: 13 I started off this month volunteering at Hogs for the Cause here in New Orleans. It is a large barbecue festival event put on every year benefitting research for pediatric cancers. The event raised over $2.6 million, and I was honored to be a part of it. Most of the volunteering I did in undergrad was similar in nature and benefitted St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. After that, we spent the next few weeks of class wrapping up the program and it has been very bittersweet. On one hand, I am glad it is over, and I can move on to getting ready for medical school in August, on the other hand, I know I am going to miss Tulane and New Orleans immensely. This was my first time moving out of my home state to a place I didn’t really know anybody, and it has been a very good learning experience. Thinking back on my time here will always bring up fond memories. A few of my friends took Step 1 a few weeks ago and were texting me asking me pharma
