March Blog

 Service Hours this month: 1

Total Service Hours: 1

March was a very eventful month for me. I started off the month by experiencing my first Mardi Gras in New Orleans. It was nothing like I expected it to be. It was a lot more family friendly that I was expecting. I had a few friends in town and we watched all the parades from a street corner on St. Charles. We also went to our first Tulane baseball game. Baseball was a huge part of my undergraduate experience, and I was happy to be able to go to a game here. I have also made plans to volunteer with Hogs for the Cause this weekend. It is a large barbecue festival that is also a fundraiser for pediatric cancer research. It is very similar to the volunteering I did in undergrad. I spent over 100 hours volunteering with different fundraising events for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As far of classes go, Principles came to an end and that was the first sign of the semester and my time in New Orleans coming to an end. I also finished my presentations in Endo, Neuro, and Advances. They went well, except for Neuro. I could have done better on that presentation. I am looking forward to the end of the semester and hoping to finish strong.
